Internship and Mentoring Opportunities
GRE CONSULTING ASSOCIATES offers an array of hands-on opportunities to learn grant writing and proposal development from non-profit professionals with demonstrated success. Our internship program is unique in its diversity. We provide simple easy-to-use tools and training manuals for those who simply need support and advice on their grant writing efforts. If you wish to go deeply in this work, we offer generous one-on-one time and personal training. You will have the opportunity to “shadow” our Executive Director, meet with new non-profit clients looking for grant writing services, and follow through on the grant proposal development process from conception to completion.
Who is GRE Consulting? GRE Consulting is a non-profit corporation serving the non-profit community across the United States and connecting to NGO’s internationally. Our Associates have provided services and support to more than 1,000 non-profit organizations. We facilitate Appreciative Inquiry Visioning processes for community and faith-based organizations, develop creative funding paradigms to support financial sustainability, prepare federal and foundation grants, and offer technical writing and research services. “GRE” stands for “Grant Writing, Research, and Evaluation.”
What is your success with grants? Our Executive Director has prepared successful funding applications to more than ten federal agencies and multiple foundations. Our funding applications have provided resources to community groups, agencies, faith-based organizations, and tribal communities for diverse services including education, housing, substance abuse prevention, juvenile delinquency interventions, health care, tutoring and mentoring programs, emergency shelter for homeless families, and humanities projects.
Why an Internship? The best way to learn is by working closely with someone who has had great success! While there are many internet-based programs that provide for little or no in-person meeting time, we focus on building personal relationships with our interns and staying with these relationships to see them through to success!
What are the requirements? Applications are approved on a case-by-case basis. We do expect applicants to have a minimum of a high school education, good writing skills, computer experience, an area of interest, a willingness to learn, and integrity.
Are customized internships possible? Absolutely, yes! We ask you to first look at our packaged options below. If one of these is not right for you, or your organization, ask for something different. In either case, we ask you to complete the attached GRE Internship Application for us to give consideration to your request.
