For more than 65 seasons, Spokane Children's Theatre has enriched our community with performance opportunities. 

Launched in 1946 by The Junior League of Spokane, Spokane Children's Theatre continues today as one of the few community children's theatre groups completely independent from sponsorship by any other theatrical or educational or religious institution.  It is the oldest theatre organization in the Spokane area.  While some organizations make participation in children's theatre expensive, SCT is committed to making broad access available to all families. 

At a time of leadership transition, GRE Consulting stepped in to facilitate a re-visioning of a desired future for Spokane Children's Theatre.  This past summer we facilitated an Appreciative Visioning  meeting that brought together stakeholders of the organization including board members, community members, high school students, and performers. Today Samuel Mahaffy of GRE Consulting serves as an Advisor to the Executive Committee of the Board.  The organization is moving forward boldly to create a sustainable future and find a new funding paradigm that will ensure that high quality theatre and performance opportunities will be available for years to come. 

The organization has leased a new facility that allows it to consolidate office functions and storage of costumes and props in one location.  This years Season will see new underwriters, and an invitation extended to many area non-profit and for-profit busineses to join in enriching the cultural life of Spokane.  GRE Consulting will mentor a grant writer for SCT.
