Successful Grant Application Results in Beds for Homeless Families

Homeless families with children served by Interfaith Hospitality of Spokane, will now have new beds because of a grant application prepared by GRE Consulting Associates. Submitted to a private banking group, the funding provides for new folding beds. Homeless families being provided temporary shelter in churches in the greater Spokane region will benefit from this grant funding. Interfaith Hospitality is a collaboration of more than thirty churches. Volunteers move the folding beds between ‘host churches’ that provide temporary shelter to women or men with children under the age of eighteen. Interfaith Hospitality of Spokane is one of the most cost-effective providers of services to homeless families that include temporary shelter, food, and case management that allow families to get back on their feet after a crisis.
